You could add the faces of so many other sick, twisted white dudes that have been killing people left and right in this country (Zimmerman, countless police, the guy who murdered abortion provider George Tiller while he was in Church, etc.), while the government and national media’s attention remains squarely focused on vilifying anyone who doesn’t look like these guys.
I’m not for having more police stop-and-frisk anyone, but the point still stands. Why do the police and Homeland Security, etc., attack everyone except white dudes with a penchant for racism, right-wing extremism, or just plain nuttery?

This man is not a hero.

Let’s not forget that they do discriminate as well: The media keep saying Chick-fil-A has never discriminated, but the truth is that Chick-fil-A has been sued over a dozen times for employment discrimination. That’s what a leading business publication, Forbes, stated in 2007, when they also called Chick-fil-A a “cult” and reported that Chick-fil-A’s founder and CEO Truett Cathy said he wanted to hire married people because they are more industrious and productive. Truett Cathy has also said he would probably fire someone who “has been sinful or done something harmful to their family members.”
That is number 4 in this article: Chick-fil-A: 5 Reasons It Isn’t What You Think

Reblogging for the additional commentary by hatefulatheist.

For the record, Chick-Fil-A was the only fast food place in my hometown that would hire out LGBT people.

Several Chick-fil-A stores are franchises and the owners of those franchises may not hold the same views as the CEO, for example, one store in New Hampshire (the only one in New Hampshire) broke with the CEO’s and sponsors LGBT pride.
Though, that still doesn’t absolve the company’s founder of his support for what’s listed in the image above.

That comment is too beautifully written to not reblog.

Damn, tell me how you really feel.

The only thing about this that I don’t like is the use of the word insanity to mean injustice. Other than that, this is beautiful.

or redneck & hillbilly since that’s got a lot of classism tied into it

Yes, that too!

redneck is classist? but i thought it referred to the slavedrivers?

Center For American Progress:

Women of color are a key growing demographic in the United States, representing approximately 36 percent of the female population and about 18 percent of the U.S. population based on Census data. The infographic below examines the state of women of color in four key areas: the workplace wage gap, health, educational attainment, and political leadership.
Women of color have made incredible strides in educational attainment and in the workplace, but their earnings and net wealth still pale in comparison to white women. They also lag behind in political leadership positions and still face unique health disparities. Their voices are critical to shaping the policies that affect their lives.
The graphic also reveals that women of color are a diverse group with a variety of experiences, even though they are often portrayed as monolithic in the mainstream media.
